We have been optimizing a site for a great little domestic answering service called  Central Communications Answering Service for different cities nationwide over the last six months or so.   Some terms like Answering Service Los Angeles have been predictably difficult just because they are large cities, and the competition for the search term is fierce.

Most smaller cities such as Answering Service Orlando will pop right up on the first page of results.   For some reason Answering Service Portland has been much more difficult than we expected.  As of last week something snapped and we popped up on the first page for Answering Service Portland and a few other cities that had been recalcitrant.

They say that the more keywords for which you rank, the easier it is to rank for more.  Perhaps our persistence and consistence paid off and we reached a threshold of some kind last week.   We are most pleased.
